  1. On GitHub: click your avatar → Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens → Fine-grained tokens → Generate new token
  2. Repository access: Only select repositories → choose the repository that hosts this site
  3. Permissions → Repository permissions → Contents: Read and write (leave everything else at No access)
  4. Set an expiration you are comfortable with, generate, and copy the token (starts with github_pat_)
  5. Paste it below. It stays only in this browser - it is never written into the site or the repository.
