Welcome. My name is Jatupon Chaiwasu, or Nahmkang, which is where the name of this site comes from.

I am a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at KMUTT, and my research is in electrochemical engineering. This site collects the things I make along the way: interactive pages for my separation courses, a walkthrough of our pilot distillation column, tools from the laboratory, and a course planning app for the department. All of it is free to open, and I hope some of it is useful to you.

ChE 335 Interactive Labs

4 labs open
Mass Transfer and Equipment Design as working applications: vapour liquid equilibrium, binary and multicomponent distillation, and liquid liquid extraction. Open one, change the numbers, watch the diagram build itself.

Pilot Distillation Lab 3D

Open now
For chemical engineering students preparing for the laboratory: how the pilot column equipment works, the startup procedure, and the important calculations, all in an interactive 3D walkthrough.

AEM Water Electrolyser 3D

Open now
The single anion exchange membrane cell from my research, taken apart layer by layer in 3D: end plates to membrane, what happens at each electrode when the cell splits water, and the Aspen Plus model of the same cell.

Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger 3D

Open now
The TEMA letter system as an object you can take apart: pick a front head, shell type and rear head, set the tube bundle and the baffles, and the exchanger redraws itself with the Kern duty and the pressure drop on both sides.

Student Enrollment and Study Plan

Open now
An app I designed for the department, covering all three curriculums of Chemical Engineering at KMUTT. A student enters their grades and the app works out the plan of study and what they are eligible to register next, with an admin view for the staff who check it.

Research Tools

7 diagrams
Pourbaix diagrams for the systems I plate from: nickel with water, ammonia and citrate, the nickel molybdenum alloy bath, plus silver and cobalt. Every boundary is computed rather than traced, so the fields move when you change the concentration.
