Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
My main work is in chemical process simulation and distillation column design, and I teach separation processes and process simulation. In my classes I use Aspen Plus together with the hand calculations, because I want students to see where the software gets its answer and not just trust the output.
I also do research in electrochemical engineering, mostly on green hydrogen from anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolysis. I look at how the electrodes perform and how the cell behaves under load. This work carries on from my PhD, and I do most of it together with my postgraduate students.
Before this, I worked in London as an international marketing analyst at a consulting firm. I did competitive analysis of global companies for clients in automotive lubricants, lubricant additives and specialty chemicals. It was a good way to use my chemical engineering together with market strategy, and it is where I really saw how differently each company chooses to compete, and why.
